Aven

Today is the big day! After some setbacks, adding new items to the line, traveling & many learning experiences we are finally launching AVEN!

Aven has been in the making for over a year now I am so excited to announce that it is ready to purchase! I teamed up with an amazing clothing designer, Mitch Harris, to launch a boys clothing line with a city/urban appeal. It really has been one of my secret dreams to start a kids clothing line for a while now, so here we are taking a risk and offering something different and unique for boys. I hear mothers complaining about the choices they have for boys clothing so here you go ladies! I hope you all love it & spread the word!

This line is just the beginning of something really amazing, but we had to start out small like most businesses so it will sell out quickly.
All of the clothing is meant to be slim fit & tailored so order up a size if you are worried that your child doesn’t fit well in slim fit clothing.

This is a big day and I am just so thankful for all of you that continue to read my blog and follow my work:)

You ready to shop??

Project- Families in Focus

Well, I hope you saw the last blog post about Nettie (the 9 year old girl who thought of this non-profit organization) because we just photographed the families last week! It was such a great day. I got to photograph these wonderful families that have been through hard times recently & they were so happy to be a part of Nettie’s idea.

The plan is simple… we offered these families that have suffered financial despair & were at a time homeless, free photographs. I got to go and tour Family Promise who connects us with these families in need. It’s amazing how this program helps families who need it most get back on their feet. A lot of them have small children & need quite a bit of assistance trying to just survive. Family Promise helps provide services that they would maybe never have access to without them. What an amazing program.

Thanks Nettie for thinking of others, especially at age 9 when so many of our youth wouldn’t even bat an eye at something like this. I am amazed by this young child & her heart of gold.

Here are some of the wonderful families we photographed:) Nettie was my assistant for the day!

If you would like to donate to this program (Family Promise) PLEASE VISIT THIS SITE TO DO SO.

We hope to photograph families through Family promise again very soon & if you are a photographer that is willing to donate your services please email me.

Miss Annette…

I am excited to share the story of one of my 9 year old clients, Annette Rooney! She came up with an amazing non-profit organization to hold a shoot for homeless families in which each family will receive a wallet-size family portrait of their family to keep with them, given many lose pricelss photos after being evicted from their homes. We start this week & I am so proud of this young girl with a heart of gold:)

This is the cutie herself…

I am a photographer in the NYC area just starting to get my feet wet in weddings and engagement shoots and I absolutely love the “frosted” look and color of these images. Would you mind sharing what you are using for post processing? techniques and/or actions? I really love this look.

Sincerely,

Rob Morales
